The inspection process involves assessment of a product or system to meet international codes, specifications and contractual requirements including quality control.

The methodology and frequency of inspection of the component or system during its life cycle will enable the Customer to verify its efficacy, reliability and integrity. This in turn will provide confidence in the component or system to meet the specified standards or requirements.

Source Inspection
Source inspection is a vital activity to reduce costly defects and to mitigate risks prior to shipment. This inspection is performed at the Supplier’s location to verify that the products and components meet the contractual compliance of the Customer. This will ensure that the supplied products or components meet the order requirements and quality standards.

In-Process Inspection
In-process inspection is performed during the life cycle of the product or component’s assembly to ensure its reliability and integrity meets its specified or intended purpose. This includes inspection of the fabrication processes, testing and its documentation. The product or component’s compliance status is verified by unbiased interpretations of the specification and its results are transmitted in a concise report to the Customer with the relevant evidence of compliance.

Pre-Production Inspection
Pre-production inspection is performed before the product or components is manufactured or assembled to ensure that the processes involved will produce an efficient and reliable product that meets its quality requirements consistently. This will help reduce or prevent time and material wastage. The pre-production inspection includes review of drawings, procedures, testing and test records and performance of equipment or personnel qualification.
